Color Guard
Colonel William Grayson Chapter Color Guard was organized in 2011. The Color Guard serves an important ceremonial role at historic observances, grave markings, wreath laying ceremonies, parades and other events when invited. The Color Guard serves as a very visible means of attracting the attention of the general public to the activities of the Society. Color Guardsmen in their attractive uniforms and colorful flags bring favorable publicity to the Society. Members of the Color Guard are frequently asked questions regarding their uniforms, muskets and other accoutrements and have a significant opportunity to educate the public on Revolutionary history (life and events). The Color Guardemen are also members of the Virginia Society, Atlantic Middle-States Association and National Society Color Guards; thus having the opportunity to participate at local, state, district and national events as time permits.
